ANA boosts air cargo totals

Japan's All Nippon Airways increased international cargo volumes by 32.6 per cent to 42,007 tons in September, the 13th consecutive month of growth.

Gains outpaced the 30.2 per cent increase in August.

Domestic volumes also grew - for the 10th straight month - in September, increasing by 4.8 per cent to 39,886 tons.

Gains reportedly are as a result of the carrier picking up Japan Airlines' air cargo business after JAL scaled back its cargo operations.
