Premium passengers switching to charter? PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 16 September 2009
European air charter firms say H1N1 (swine flu) fears are boosting their businesses.

UK-based Air Charter Services, which turns over US$200 million a year, says business travellers unwilling to use general aviation terminals boosted its bookings by an average 32 per cent per month during the May to August period.

“Most are high-net-worth individuals,” ceo Tony Bauckham said in an interview. “We’ve run 54 more flights in August than last year in executive jets alone, and some of that is an offshoot of not wanting to go to the general aviation terminals.” -Jack Handley
