The Foundation supports kids living in families affected by mental illness. The program provides recreational, educational camps and other activities, giving kids a break in a fun, positive and safe environment. Kids have the opportunity to meet other kids from similar families and to develop new friendships.

Staged at the Macquarie Links Golf Club in Sydney, the event attracted 103 players and sponsors.

This year Bonds Transport took out the team winner's trophy with AGS World Transport a close second. In third place, just behind, was a team from DHL Global Forwarding.

Anita Kenny and Suzy Nixon representing the Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation said the Foundation was delighted to be chosen as this year’s recipient of the funds raised. “We are so grateful for your kind generosity, this will make a huge difference” said Nixon.

Thanking players and sponsors for their support Jim Kerrigan, chairman of the event-organising committee said: “We are very happy to host this great day for the industry and enjoy seeing the camaraderie displayed. Our thanks also to the AFIF office team and the volunteers on the day and to all the teams, sponsors and individual donors for their contributions. It's great to see companies and individuals willing to be generous to charity."

*More than A$230,000  has been raised for the various charities selected as beneficiaries of the Golf Day since its launch.
