ANA launches IceBattery service

Tokyo-based ANA is now offering a temperature-controlled service on ex-Japan flights.

Its PRIO IB Fixed Temp uses ‘IceBattery’ technology as a new element within its PRIO series of products designed for added-value cargo transport on international services.

The product will be available at various temperature range settings and if the temperature range is set between 2°C and 8°C, that temperature can be maintained for more than 100 hours.

The product is an alternative to traditional dry ice shipping and will be available at airports that do not allow the use of dry ice.
