Plan to make Deniliquin a freight hub

In Australia, Queensland's Wagner Group is backing a plan to build a freight hub in Deniliquin, which comes under the control of the Edward River Council.
Wagner has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Council, which wants A$5 million from the federal government and matching funds from the NSW state government to construct a 2km runway in Deniliquin.

Wagner Group boss John Wagner said: “I’ve spoken to a number of people who want to invest if an airport gives them the outlet.”
