Christmas demand drives November volumes at EMA and Stansted

The UK’s East Midlands Airport and London Stansted have reported record volumes of inbound cargo for November driven by early Christmas shopping and e-commerce.
The airports' owner MAG added that electronics, clothes and beauty products were popular imports during the month.

"London Stansted cargo operation grew 12.3 per cent and East Midlands cargo tonnage grew 29.8 per cent thanks in part to new cargo routes.

"In the past year at Stansted we have seen CargologicAir, Saudia and Silk Way West add flights to Mexico and North America, the Middle East and Azerbaijan. New cargo routes at East Midlands include Milan and Madrid," MAG said.
