Amazon Air to close San Antonio depot

Amazon Air is closing its Amazon Air air cargo operation in San Antonio, Texas, and the move means 65 contract workers employed by Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) will lose their jobs as of April 10.

“We have made the decision to stop operations at Kelly Field,” Amazon said.

“Worldwide Flight Services is a valued partner and we’ll continue working with them at other locations. This decision will not impact customer deliveries in the San Antonio area.”

WFS is a subsidiary of SATS, which is headquartered in Singapore.
