Thai to drop Nok plans?

Thailand's Thai Airways International looks likely to drop its current strategy of buying more shares in budget carrier Nok Air.

Thai president Piyasvasti Amranand said Nok was looking less attractive as an investment.

Thai is still planning to set up another budget airline, Thai Tiger Airways, which would be 51 per cent owned by the national carrier.

It faces some government barriers to doing so.
