Lion in IPO

Indonesian airline Lion Air will go to the markets next year in an attempt to raise US$1 billion.

"We plan to only sell a 30 per cent stake of our company to the public," Lion Air president director Rusdi Kirana said.

Lion also reportedly has decided to buy 15 more turboprop passenger aircraft from France-based manufacturer ATR.
