TAP taps Champ

Portugal's TAP Air Portugal has selected Champ Cargosystems to help manage its air cargo growth.

The Portuguese flag carrier reported a 24 per cent increase in cargo volumes for 2010, with growth in Brazilian imports and exports as cargo and mail transported reached 94,000 tonnes last year.

The airline will use Cargospot airline, handling, revenue accounting, business intelligence and ULD management modules.

TAP Cargo also is subscribing to Global Customs Gateway (GCG), which provides Customs authorities with advance information on shipments, as well as CargoWEB.
