Atlas earnings soar

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings says Q4 earnings increased 47 per cent on the back of better airfreight demand.

Revenue rose 12 per cent to US$359.7 million from US$321.6 million in the fourth-quarter of 2009.

Shipments of high-tech products, pharmaceuticals and automotive parts all helped, the company said.

For all of 2010, the company earned US$141.8 million compared with US$77.8 million in 2009.
