USA carrier United Airlines temporarily grounded all its 96 Boeing 757 planes on Tuesday after the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) sent a message to all 757 operators telling them they must inspect their planes before they were permitted to fly. The airline said "United received a follow-up that requires further checks and is following modification to air data computers. All systems are fully functional."
There were few services interrupted as a result of the checks.
