Employees at Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) of Pakistan are striking, allegedly in protest against a proposed route-sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines, an airline spokesman said. The move grounded two international and four domestic flights.

The action involves only some pilots and support staff, according to a carrier spokesman.

Hard hit by emerging competition, PIA has posted multimillion dollar losses annually for some years.
