Air NZ inks Etihad deal

New Zealand's Air New Zealand has inked a code-share agreement with Abu-Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, effective end March.

The agreement covers Australian domestic, trans-Tasman and Australia-Abu Dhabi routes and is subject to government approvals.

Under the agreement, Air NZ passengers flying to or via Abu Dhabi would transfer to Etihad services in Australia.

Etihad passengers will be able to fly on Air NZ planes trans Tasman from Australia and domestically in NZ.
