New carrier for Thailand

A new Thai carrier, Crystal Thai Airlines (CTA), is scheduled to launch operations in February.

A Thai-South Korean joint venture with THB201 million in registered capital, CTA will fly from Bangkok to Incheon and Muan in South Korea from February 3.

The airline already has leased one Airbus A320 and in March will acquire a larger A330-200.

It also eventually intends to fly to Mumbai and Cochin in India, to the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Dubai and Phuket.
