The International Air Transport Association's (IATA's) board of governors has formally selected Cathay Pacific ceo Tony Tyler to become IATA director general and ceo following the retirement of the incumbent Giovanni Bisignani. The board will recommend Tyler's appointment to IATA's agm June 6-8, 2011 in Cairo.
