TSA investigates forwarder for alleged security breaches

America's Transportation Security Administration (TSA), part of Homeland Security, is investigating Activair, a division of OHL International, for skipping security procedures, allegedly to make money.

As a result, OHL has suspended the US Activair business while the investigation is carried out.

Air cargo handler Activair faces allegations it failed to screen cargo for explosives carried on international passenger flights over the past eight months.

Interviews with employees at the company's Indianapolis facility reportedly indicated that they were complying with orders from management - issued in order to save money.

An earlier civil action has now turned into a criminal investigation.
