IATA releases Dangerous Goods tool

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has officially released EasyDGR, an online application for shipping dangerous goods by air in compliance with industry regulations.

The customisable tool allows shippers of hazardous materials to create an electronically validated Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD), increasing safety, saving time, streamlining operations and reducing the chance that the shipment will be rejected by the carrier.

the solution is designed to help increase safety through streamlined processes across the entire supply chain.

EasyDGR also creates accurate documentation for dangerous goods shipments to meet airline compliance requirements and avoid rejected shipments.

Industry estimates are that as many as 60 per cent of dangerous goods shipments rejected by airlines are due to mistakes in the documentation - a costly problem for the entire supply chain.

The web-based solution features built-in intelligence to validate information for the DGD in real time, virtually eliminating mistakes.

It also offers quick search access to IATA's complete Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and other reference material.

The smart system generates all required document outputs, including XML format that is IATA e-freight ready.

The EasyDGR platform simplifies the business of shipping dangerous goods by air with the capability to deliver massive volumes of data to tens of thousands of customers with a user-friendly interface.

EasyDGR was created with the co-operation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and developed and hosted by InfoTrustGroup.
