Continental delays NZ start

USA carrier United Continental says the planned November 2011 launch of Houston, USA-Auckland, New Zealand services has been delayed until 2012 because of delivery delays to planemaker Boeing's 787.

Continental originally was to receive its first 787 Dreamliner in March 2009.

"In anticipation of Boeing advising us of further delays, we're going to push the NZ service to 2012," a Continental spokeswoman said.

"Commencement of the service depends on delivery of the 787."
