DHL to expand A-P presence

Global logistics firm DHL is to expand its freight services network in Asia-Pacific and is considering moving more into rail and ocean transport.

The company said it could price according to delivery method chosen by the customer, with air the most expensive.

A DHL Asia regional senior vice president, Charles Kaufmann, said rail was 'easy' in Europe and the Americas, but there currently is insufficient infrastructure available in Asia, although demand for it is increasing.
