Dart profits up 38pc

UK carrier Jet2 owner Dart Group has recorded a 38 per cent profit hike thanks to improved load factors and higher ticket prices.

Dart made a profit of GBP38.7 million for the six months to the end of September, compared to GBP28.1 million for the same period in 2009.

Load factor was up 6.2 per cent at 87.5 per cent for the half-year.
