China Eastern inks RR pact

Jet engine maker Rolls-Royce has won a deal worth US$1.2 billion to supply and service jet engines for Chinese airline China Eastern.

The firm also has formed a carbon partnership with China Eastern, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 190,000 tonnes in its first year.

Rolls-Royce also will provide a fuel management service for the airline's fleet of more than 300 aircraft.
