China Airlines posts record Q3 result

Taiwan's China Airlines has reported a Q3 record profit on the back of improved cargo shipments and increased travel across the Taiwan Strait.

Net income was TWD3.76 billion compared with a loss of TWD2.62 billion a year earlier.

The carrier said rising global sales of notebook computers and mobile phones made in Taiwan and China had boosted air cargo traffic.
