Mauritius asks Dubai for help

The Republic of Mauritius is seeking help and co-operation from Dubai Airport Freezone for a planned 72-hectare air cargo logistics centre.

"We would like to develop Mauritius into an aviation hub to increase traffic and at the same time put more emphasis on air cargo," said Nanda Narrainen of the International Business Development arm of the Board of Investment
(BOI) of Mauritius.

"Mauritius is classified as a middle-income country and ranks, on the basis of the recent Human Development Index for 173 countries, 67th globally, 40th among developing countries and second in Africa."
