Australia's Sydney Airport is looking for a new chief executive after Russell Balding said he was leaving early next year.

Balding, a former managing director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, said he'd decided not to renew his five-year employment contract when it expires in early 2011.

He replaced Max Moore-Wilton as Sydney Airport's chief executive in 2006.
