Emirates opts for more GP7200s

Dubai-based Emirates says it has selected Engine Alliance GP7200 engines to power its 32-plane A380 order.

The total value of the agreement, including spare engines, is approximately US$4.8 billion over the life of the contract.

The GP7200 is manufactured at GE and Pratt & Whitney and already powers the existing Emirates A380 fleet.
