World gets polar okay

The Federal Aviation Administration okay will allow the carrier to eliminate stops on some routes and to save fuel.
It's the first time World Airways has been given polar-route authority in its 62-year history.
World Airways - a unit of Global Aviation Holdings - handles cargo and passenger flights for the US military as well as leisure tours.
It has no scheduled airline services.
