Multimodal specialist Hoptrans Logistics, a cargo handling agent operating at Lithuania's Kaunas airport, has launched a freighter charter service to Shanghai, China.

The company reportedly says it is marketing Kaunas as an alternative hub in the Baltic States to more expensive and congested northern Europe airports.

Hoptrans also operates an extensive road feeder fleet providing forwarders with air cargo distribution to Italy, France, Spain and Russia.
