Global freight forwarder Kuehne + Nagel has entered into a plea agreement with the US Department of Justice over a freight forwarding cartel.

Under the agreement, the firm will plead guilty to violations by five of its subsidiaries and will agree to pay a fine of approximately US$9.865 million.

The firm says subject to court approval, the plea agreement closes the DoJ investigation of Kuehne + Nagel and its subsidiaries regarding international air freight forwarding services.
