Martinair moves to freight-only

Air France Group subsidiary Martinair, as tipped last week, is to move from leisure to pure freight services.

Staff losses of around 600 are expected.

Martinair says its "competence" in the air freight sector has driven the decision.

It will continue to operate to holiday destinations until the end of 2011 and passengers will be able to book Martinair flights until then.
