About 6.5 million passengers flew from Heathrow in August, 2.5 per cent up on the same month a year ago, although passenger numbers fell by 6.1 per
cent at nearby Stansted.
In Scotland, Glasgow saw a 9.4 per cent downturn, while Edinburgh's traffic fell by 0.2 per cent and Aberdeen recorded a decrease of 4 per cent.
