Shares of Washington, USA-based freight and supply-chain management firm Expeditors International have risen after the logistics company forecast second-quarter earnings above analysts' estimates.

The company's first-quarter earnings were in line with the analysts' estimates.

Over the long term, the company says growth will come from international expansion and investment in new opportunities and services.
