Naked body scanners go for cartoon look

L-3 Communications and OSI Systems' Rapiscan, makers of full-body airport passenger imaging scanners, are to change the images to show generic figures rather than an actual image of a passenger's body.

The new displays will highlight any sections of a person's body that need to be checked by security staff.

It is hoped this initiative will overcome privacy concerns.
