Good news for Aer Arann

The Irish High Court has been told the court-protected airline Aer Arann could be profitable again next year.

The Court was told an interim examiner was 'broadly optimistic' about the prospects for the survival of the company and that 11 potential investor groups have been identified as backers.

Lawyers for the airline said the examinership period may only last 50 days.
