Philippines flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has reported income of US$31.6 million for its peak months April to June 2010, a drop of US$3.9 million or 11 per cent on the same period last year.

Revenues were US$426.7 million for the first quarter of its fiscal year 2010-11, an improvement of US$99.0 million over the same period in 2009.

The carrier currently is facing staff unrest and trying to avoid possible strikes.
