Virgin strike threatened

UK-based Virgin Atlantic's pilots are threatening to strike.

The British Airline Pilots' Association (BALPA) said Virgin is trying to cut pilots' annual entitlement of 120 days off to 106 days. The time off is on
top of annual holidays.

BALPA general secretary Jim McAuslan said: "We have been making all the overtures possible to negotiate a way through and it has not been
reciprocated."

Pilots, already angry over a pay freeze, say Virgin is trying to redefine what constitutes a planned or 'rostered' day off.

Rival British Airways still faces threatened strike action by cabin crew.
