WCA looks to Africa

Forwarding network WCA Family has turned its focus to Africa, claiming it to be one of the fastest-growing economies in the world today.

A spokesperson for WCA said as the world economy begins its slow turn from downhill to uphill, Africa, which has shown growth throughout this period, continues showing positive signs of moving forward.

"In the first two quarters of 2010, Africa has seen upward trends in stock market indexes and gross international reserves, while inflation continues its downward move," said the spokesperson.

"Manufacturing is up 4.5 per cent over the first six months of 2009. All of these are indicators of economic recovery and Africa is part of this recovery."

WCA Family in conjunction with the China International Forwarders Association (CIFA) is planning an Africa regional conference for December 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya.
