Frankfurt sets air cargo, passenger records

Germany's Fraport's Frankfurt Airport saw 5,281,632 passengers in July 2010, exceeding the 5.2 million passenger mark for the first time in a single month and topping the previous July 2007 record by nearly 90,000 passengers.

Compared to last year, 7.7 per cent more passengers used the hub.

Also, by handling 188,244 metric tons of airfreight in July 2010, the airport registered a new monthly record and a 20.4 per cent year-on-year increase.
