Lufthansa details freight rate rises

Germany's Lufthansa Cargo reportedly has flagged an average global freight rate increase of 20 per cent from 01 October.

Security charges also will increase by EUR0.03 per kg as the carrier works to restore rates to levels that existed before the global downturn.

The news reportedly was leaked by a customer who received a letter from the carrier outlining the increases.
