Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific reportedly is to order 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft worth US$6 billion - as well as six Boeing B777s. The Airbus aircraft are capable of flying more than 8,000 nautical miles non-stop, enabling Cathay to operate them to Europe and North America. The aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent engines.
