US carrier Delta Air Lines has launched a non-stop four-times-weekly (from June 14) service between Atlanta, USA and Africa's Accra's Kotoka International Airport using A330-200s.

The airline already operates five weekly non-stop services between Accra and New York-JFK and has plans to expand further into the African continent.

Delta says cargo will play a large part in the new route's success.
