EC sets BA antitrust date

The European Commission reportedly has set a provisional antitrust deadline of July 15 for the investigation of UK carrier British Airways' planned merger with Spain's Iberia.

Ahead of that determination, BA has said that the British Airport Authority's decision not to press ahead with runway expansion at Heathrow is "good news for Spain", implying confidence the EC investigation will okay the Iberia merger.
