BA strike a failure - Walsh

UK carrier British Airways' chief executive Willie Walsh has described the latest days of strike action by cabin crew as "a failure".

"Unite (the cabin crew union) have failed to ground British Airways, and we are continuing to fly and we are continuing to work," Walsh said.

Walsh said the airline had flown thousands of passengers, despite the strike.

"They have failed in their efforts," he said.

He later reiterated his pledge not to reinstate travel benefits for strikers.
