Air cargo up 30.2 per cent at Domodedovo

Russia’s Moscow Domodedovo Airport has recorded significant growth for the first four months of 2010, with cargo volumes up 30.2 per cent at 44,062 tons compared to the same period last year.

Total passenger traffic reached 5,831,737, 32.8 per cent more than the same period last year.


Domestic passenger traffic was 2,329,829, an increase of 34.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.


International passenger traffic totalled 3,501,908, an increase of 31.7 per cent compared to the same period last year. The highest growth rates were recorded on flights to and from the following destinations: Hurgada, Sharm el Sheikh, Bangkok, Phuket, Dubai. Passenger traffic along these routes saw a growth of 1,067,003 which is an increase of 79 per cent compared to the same period in 2009.


The number of flights operated for the four months of 2010 totalled 59,225, an increase of 19.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2009.
