Qantas fined for cargo cartel activity

Australia's Qantas has been caught up in the South Korean antitrust air cargo price fixing court action against 21 airlines.

South Korea's Fair Trade Commission (FTC) fined Qantas A$127,271 for 'participating in collusive behaviour'.

Meanwhile, the FTC has confirmed it had been lenient with Korean Air because it blew the whistle on the cartel.

Korean Air had its fine cut to 22.2 billion won from the 48.7 billion won first announced.
