Air France-KLM cargo adds Cambodia, Xiamen flights

AIR France-KLM Cargo has confirmed several new destinations in its summer (northern) 2011 schedule including Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Xiamen, China; Orlando, USA and the reinstatement of capacity on several routes. The new  B777-200ER service to Phnom Penh, operating via Bangkok, Thailand, from Paris CDG began 28 March and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.


Xiamen gets three weekly flights from Amsterdam Schiphol, Netherlands using B777-ER equipment effective 27 March. Operating days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays with return flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.


Effective 07 June, AF-KL Cargo will offer a new service to Orlando, Florida, USA. It will be operated with a B777-300 ER flying three times per week from Paris CDG, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Returns will be on the same day.


The carrier also reinstated its Amsterdam-Miami, USA service from 21 March. Flights use MD-11aircraft on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Return flights take place on the same days. The reinstated Amsterdam-Miami service is in addition to eight weekly Martinair freighter flights and the Paris-Miami service.


Lima, Peru will get a new non-stop AF flight, five times a week, using the B777-200ER. As from June 21, it will fly from Paris CDG to Lima on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The return flights will operate on the same days. This new service comes in addition to the daily Amsterdam-Lima run, bringing frequencies from seven to 12 per week.


Freetown, Sierra Leone, will be a new African destination on the carrier's network - operated from Paris CDG via Conakry twice a week with an A330-200. It operates on Tuesdays and Sundays, return flights being the same days.


Monrovia, Liberia also will get a twice-weekly service from Paris CDG via Conakry using A330-200 aircraft
