China Eastern Airlines will add a fifth frequency direct from Shanghai Pudong into London Heathrow Airport from 26 March. Flight Number: MU552 – London to Shanghai will operate on Sundays. Days of operation are now Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

China Eastern will use an A340-300 wide bodied long range aircraft between London and Shanghai, capable of carrying approximately 20 tonnes of cargo in addition to a full passenger load, although this figure varies dependent upon the weather condition, performance and other related factors.

Capacity available includes a maximum of 6 PMC/PAG Pallets or 18 AKE/AVE containers and the rear hold up to a maximum of 3 PMC and 1 PAG pallets or 12 AKE/AVE containers.
