SWISSPORT OPENS NEW CHANGI TERMINAL

Swissport International has officially opened its new 250,000 tonne capacity freight terminal at Singapore’s Changi Airport.

Already in operation for two months, the US$10 million facility is chasing a slice of the region’s growing freight market

Cargo traffic within the Asia Pacific region is expected to grow at 8.5 per cent annually for the next three years, well above the forecast international average of 5.6 per cent. Swissport is Singapore's third ground handling player after SATS and CIAS.

The new 18,000 square-metre terminal is Swissport’s largest facility worldwide.
