ANA and Asiana, both members of Star Alliance, already enjoy a code-sharing relationship on passenger flights. A press release form ANA said the new agreement was a natural progression which both airlines hope would allow them to maximize their potential in the important and expanding Japan-Korea market.
ANA operates 10 weekly flights using B767-300F freighter aircraft on routes from Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai and Nagoya to Seoul. ANA took delivery of its third freighter of this kind on 14 February, and will increase its fleet to four 767-300F aircraft within 2006, as it grows its presence in the cargo market.
