AIR CANADA TO OPERATE DAILY TORONTO FLIGHTS FROM SYDNEY

Improved market opportunities made possible by an expanded open-skies agreement between Canada and the United States will see Air Canada start daily flights from Sydney to Toronto via Los Angeles in 2007. The new flights will utilize the airline’s new B777 - the world’s most technologically advanced passenger jet.

Air Canada’s general manager, Australia New Zealand, Jeannie Foster says the new flights will offer a faster service between Australia and Canada, shaving almost four hours off existing routings.

The new B777 will feature the latest in lay-flat suites in the executive first cabin, and personal seat entertainment systems throughout the aircraft.
Air Canada currently operates daily flights from Sydney to Vancouver via Honolulu.
